The Role
This role is for a graduate electrical engineer to focus on renewable energy projects. Due to the dynamics of the renewable energy sector, flexibility of the team needs, the job comes with many growth opportunities. There is the opportunity for experience and development in order to register with ECSA. You will work within the core of projects team with a focus on renewable energy projects. This will provide you the opportunity to PV and/or wind energy world. At first, you will work as a trainee with the expectation to move into project engineering or project management after obtaining the necessary experience. You will be working with qualified Engineers (ECSA), designers and project managers.
Key Responsibilities: Dependent on Project Phase Support the project manager in coordination and submission of all project related documentation for internal and external stakeholdersProvide Design and Design approval assistance for the electrical balance of plant worksAssist management of site works by conducting site visits with the project manager/engineerAssist in the coordination and management of Factory and Site Acceptance Tests together with the project manager and engineerAssist in finalization of project as-built documentationAssist in the basic design process of the MV reticulation network and associated substation and Eskom Grid connection worksAssist with grid code compliance and RETEC testingPosition Specific Requirements BSc Electrical/Mechanical Engineer – Graduate or 2-3 years of relevant experienceOther skills (not compulsory) – knowledge of DigSilent, Autocad, MS ProjectsBehavioural Competencies / Performance Drivers Growth mindset and excellent coordination skillsProactive attitude with the ability to check and manage documents according to the client requirementsFluent in written and spoken EnglishAbility to work within multidisciplinary and multicultural teamsSelf-motivated, flexible and demonstrates initiative andAbility to work in time constrained situations and follow tight deadlinesYou have a high sense of responsibility, professional attitude and quality focus.You have an affinity and interest for everything related to renewable energyAvailability to travel locally and internationally when requiredTo apply for the role, email your resume to ****** together with a cover letter that highlights your relevant qualifications, work experience and achievements that make you an ideal fit for the role, and what motivates you to join the NOA mission.
