Your opportunity:
The Department of Physiology is a highly interdisciplinary department with many local and global partnerships, providing excellent opportunities for research training and teaching in medical science.
As Graduate Program Assistant, you will support the day-to-day operations of our Master of Science, Doctoral, and Postdoctoral programs, working closely with the Graduate Coordinator and other stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include: Acting as the first point of contact, responding to inquiries and providing detailed information to students on program and/or course requirementsScheduling appointments for prospective students, applicants, and current studentsCoordinating program schedules and preparing examination timetablesCollecting and submitting grades, and submissions for award competitionsCoordinating meetings, taking minutes, preparing agendas, materials, and follow-up itemsMaintaining records and generating reportsEssential Qualifications: Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experienceMinimum two years related experience, preferably in an academic environmentExperience coordinating academic programs and working with policies and proceduresExperience supporting committees and coordinating eventsExperience managing databases and generating reportsAdvanced technical skills in MS Office and student information systemsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with a strong customer focusStrong initiative, proactive, and highly resourcefulAbility to follow documented procedures and communicate these to othersAbility to identify problems and recommend appropriate solutionsProven ability to work independently and manage high volumes of varied dutiesAttention to detail and accuracy is essentialSensitivity to diversity and excellent judgment on confidential issuesAssets (Nonessential): Experience working with ROSIExperience liaising with the School of Graduate StudiesTo be successful in this role you will be: ApproachableOrganizedClosing Date: 01/21/2025, 11:59PM ET
