The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical design of the projects within the section and will be required to assist Engineers.Key Responsibilities:Draft technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational qualityLead a small team of Technicians/Draughtsmen on a projectQuery details suggesting more acceptable solutionsAble to present/represent his/her specific technical work (presentations/ meetings)Familiar with work proceduresResponsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks on time and at costDevelop an understanding of local functional business technologies and marketsAbility to check and inspect constructed works for compliance with design and specifications with moderate supervisionAwareness of time and cost implications on projectsAssist with straightforward bidsTrain Technicians/Draughtsmen in relevant software toolsManage meeting schedules and agendas and compile minutesAssisting Engineers with regard to checking technical designsCompleting technical duties as directed by the Engineer inclusive of design, costing, and specificationsRecommended Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering0 - 3 years of design experience in a consulting environmentAdvantageous to have the bridge and structural subjectsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environmentAdditional Requirements:Only applications with the following supporting documents will be considered:Cover letter motivating your application and interest in the positionMatric certificateFull University academic transcriptIdentity document (Send all the documents to ******)Closing date: Friday 30 August 2024How to Apply:All applications must be submitted online.
