Key ResponsibilitiesProduct design and Introduction:Develop a deep understanding of Product Design Guides, DFMEAs, Technical Standards, and Standard Operating Procedures.Actively participate in cross-functional teams to analyze potential new products, ensuring alignment with manufacturing capabilities.Contribute to the development and introduction of new products and processes, from initial review to testing and sign-off.Data Integrity / ECR:Implement engineering changes in accordance with relevant procedures, ensuring data integrity is maintained throughout the process.Packaging and Configurations:Assist with packaging trials, create and amend BOMs and Master Data.Contribute to branding efforts, control print layouts, and optimize shipping container configurations.Engage in drawing office activities, utilizing Inventor & AutoCAD software.Develop graphic design skills through Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator.Administer updates and maintenance of indices & databases.Project Management:Take the lead on assigned projects, including cost reduction initiatives and capex projects.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project scope, specifications, suppliers, costs, and timing.Ensure effective project management, implementation, and sign-off within agreed parameters.Laboratory Functions:Understand and contribute to laboratory functions, conducting testing on finished products, components, and raw materials.Compile accurate test reports, provide feedback to customers on product performance, and identify areas for improvement.Minimum RequirementsBSc degree or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.Computer literacy in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure and deadlines.Assertive with an exceptionally high level of attention to detail and accuracy.Analytical, forward-thinking, and ability to plan for worst-case scenarios.Hands-on approach with a passion for the automotive industry (experience is a plus).
