The product manager for the Virgin Active app and WhatsApp channel lives and breathes their products.They own the project management, planning, execution, and measurement of these key channels ensuring digital engagement becomes a significant differentiator for the Virgin Active Group in the market. Success means the Virgin Active app and supporting digital channels are a reason members choose Virgin Active as their preferred wellness partner over competitors.This highly motivated and experienced Product Manager will ensure the app achieved its objectives: enabling members to achieve their wellness goals, engage with the full Virgin Active value proposition and get rewarded through the loyalty programme.This role will see you collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and manage our product backlog, ensuring we deliver a best-in-class product. Working collaboratively with technical teams, external suppliers, marketing, and operations, you will translate our business objectives into a product roadmap and be responsible for its end-to-end features.Your Duties and Responsibilities...Translate the business strategy and core objectives into a world class App, and WhatsApp channel.Define the product features required to deliver the business objectives.Manage the product backlog and prioritize development requirements.Manage delivery through IT team and external suppliers; act as the key point of contact for these teams Key point for escalation of App and WhatsApp issuesMonitor product performance and continuously optimise product features and drive user engagement.Collaborate with the Global Chief of Customer Value and global teams including IT, external suppliers, marketing and operations to deliver high quality products, features & services for our customers, meeting our business goals.Work closely with our customers and the teams in each market to understand their needs and gather feedback on product features, establishing a global standard while allowing for local requirements.Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for product improvement and differentiation.Define and prioritise product features and requirements to increase revenue, CLV, drive product adoption and reduce churn.Closely align with the Virgin Active Head of Loyalty to deliver this key customer benefit through the app.Develop and maintain the product backlog that align with the product roadmap and company's vision and strategy.Manage the product development lifecycle from ideation to launch, including product planning, testing and release.Manage key supplier relationships, including budgets.Monitor product performance and make data-driven decisions to optimise product features and drive user engagement.Leverage data insights to deeply understand member behaviours and patterns to better inform business retention and CLV initiatives.Communicate product vision and status and measures of success to all stakeholders.Continuously assess and improve product processes to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.Engagement with marketing relating to CRM and other customer channels (email, SMS, social and paid media)Establishment of measures of success for the product and reporting against theseResponsible for key product metrics: app downloads, use, ratings.Our Minimum Requirements...5+ years of experience as a Product Manager, with a focus on digital channelsExperience managing build and run projects.Experience with prototyping, testing, and validating product hypothesesExperience defining, prioritising, and communicating a product roadmap across the organisation.Managing and building out a backlog with a focus on iterative and continuous deliveryExperience building products iteratively by applying lean principles and focusing on MVPs.Hands-on experience working with Engineering teams in an Agile environment with an understanding of agile development process.Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proven ability to work with cross functional teams.Proven experience driving customer value through engagement and retention strategies across various member segments and channels.
