Job Description
Red Ember is recruiting for a Commercial Manager who has experience in the cruise or travel industry. Minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial management, including financial analysis, preferably within the cruise or travel industry, and for a global or multi-national corporation.

Excellent English communication and negotiation abilities – both written & verbal.
Familiarity with cruise industry regulations and practices is an advantage.

The ability to work well under pressure either independently or within a team environment.
Can handle multiple projects simultaneously.
An inquisitive, analytical, and enquiring mind.
Advanced Excel skills.

The ability to travel globally, if required.
Focus Areas:
Support the global DMC's and legal team in negotiating contracts with cruise lines to determine the best outcome for the company.
Lead the project to consolidate contracts, so there is one global contract / set of T&C's for each cruise line.
Undertake financial analysis to help the relevant teams understand and improve the margins they generate and to determine what each contract is "worth".
Collect, monitor, and study data (internal & external) to recommend appropriate actions where necessary, particularly in relation to pricing.
Support senior management and cruise operational teams on a wide range of issues, including commercial agreements, risk management, contract administration, and accident/incident reports.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as finance, global cruise operations, and marketing to achieve business goals while mitigating legal and commercial risks.
Utilize data to develop and implement strategies to optimize best commercial outcomes to support business objectives for global cruise activities.
Stay updated on cruise industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to proactively address commercial challenges and opportunities.
Conduct research and analysis, to produce market reports for the cruise teams as required, providing recommendations and solutions to commercial issues.
Build and maintain strong relationships with cruise industry partners and stakeholders.
Requirements
