Job Summary: As a Global Corporate Bank Analyst based in Johannesburg, you will collaborate with Senior GCB Bankers to support our South African corporate client franchise.
You will assist in developing and maintaining client relationships through business intelligence, marketing, and execution.
This role offers the opportunity to leverage J.P. Morgan's extensive product platform and global presence to help clients achieve their objectives in financing, risk management, working capital, cash management, and investments.
Job Responsibilities: Collaborate with Managing Directors, Executive Directors, Vice Presidents, and Associates to support all client activities, including marketing, execution, and ongoing relationship management. Manage internal processes for deal executions, internal approvals, business aspects of regulatory reporting, and ongoing client relationship management. Assist Corporate Bankers in managing global client relationships with South African headquartered large corporations. Prepare internal approval documents such as credit memos and balance sheet committee models. Assist in the preparation of pitch books and other marketing materials to generate new revenue. Conduct industry and credit analysis, including reviewing financial statements and supporting the credit approval and documentation process. Maintain internal reports, including deal tracking, pipeline reports, and balance sheet memos. Support Corporate Bankers in maintaining robust risks and controls, including Know Your Customer (KYC), AML reviews, and compliance obligations. Play an active role in client relationships and support Senior GCB Bankers with answering RFPs. Develop strong global partnerships across lines of business. Assist with projects as requested.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: Master's degree or equivalent with outstanding academic credentials. Proficiency in English is essential. Solid understanding of credit (Investment Grade and High Yield) and financing products. Strong knowledge of global cash management, markets, and asset management solutions. Proven quantitative, analytical, and computer skills, including PowerPoint and Excel-based modeling. Commercial mindset with the ability to work under pressure and multitask. Relevant experience in Corporate Banking or Product coverage is a plus. Proficiency with research tools, including Bloomberg. Excellent communication skills.
