Geotechnical Engineer

Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive site investigations to assess soil and rock conditions.

Perform geotechnical analysis and provide recommendations for foundation design and ground improvement.

Develop and implement geotechnical testing programs and interpret laboratory results.

Collaborate with project teams to integrate geotechnical solutions into design and construction plans.

Prepare detailed reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.

Oversee fieldwork and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

Assist in project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in geotechnical engineering.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field (BEng, BSc or BTech). Registered as a Candidate Engineer with ECSA; Professional Engineer (PrEng) registration is a plus. A minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, including site investigations and analysis. Strong knowledge of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and ground improvement techniques. Proficiency in geotechnical software such as PLAXIS, GeoStudio, or similar tools. Experience with field investigations, laboratory testing, and data analysis. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, budget, and schedule effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail. Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and present findings to stakeholders. A proactive and adaptable mindset, capable of working independently and within a team.
