We are looking for an experienced Geometric Urban Engineer or Technologist to join a leading civil engineering consultancy specializing in transport-related services and urban infrastructure. Key Responsibilities
Geometric design: create and refine geometric designs for roads, intersections, and pedestrian facilities to enhance safety and operational efficiency.
Project management: manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Collaboration: work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including planners, environmental specialists, and construction engineers, to achieve integrated project outcomes.
Community engagement: facilitate community engagement processes to gather input and ensure designs align with user needs.
Technical analysis: conduct traffic studies and analyses to inform design decisions and improve urban mobility.
Regulatory compliance: ensure all designs adhere to local regulations and engineering standards.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Masters or PhD preferred.
Professional registration as an Engineer (Pr. Eng) or as a Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) is required.
A minimum of 12 years of experience in geometric design within the urban transport sector.
Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar tools.
Strong understanding of transportation engineering principles and practices.
