ROLE PURPOSETo manage the overall serviceability of the Vodacom Generator fleet that includes mobile generators, static generators, fuel bowsers, fuel cells, and power cubes.Actual and potential generator nonconformities are dealt with and that corrective and preventative actions are taken.MAIN OUTPUTSManagement of generator status. Fleet availability SLA 95%Management of fuel cards including maintaining PRISM database for each generator/bowser fuel card details.- Fuel cards safe keeping need sign off from EHOD.- Database must include fuel card expiry dates.- Continuously monitor the status of the above and ensure that cards are kept current.- Report any fuel card missing/stolen or misuse asap to EHOD and BFM security.- Notify VC of any upcoming expiry dates.Management of licensing (license disk) of mobile generators and fuel bowsers.Management of auxiliary items on generators (tracking unit, nose cones, power cables, steel cables, locks, etc.)Attend customer meetings on a daily/weekly basis.Follow up with dispatch daily on Gentrack report.Plan generator repairs.Interact and visit ASP premises/workshop.Management of Mechanics:- Give training and support to mechanic when new systems are implemented.- Identify training requirements per individual and arrange training accordingly.- Arrange for all training that the mechanic might still require before he can continue with his duties.- Arrange that the mechanic has all the following when starting with BFM - Vehicle, Tools, PPE, Fire Extinguisher.Visit all counties in the region and interact with different counties (at least 2 counties per month).PRISM updates must be done on a daily basis (Monday to Friday). This includes Excel Reports, Weekly Meetings with VC FFO SPOC's and feedback to VC National.Non-operational status:- Confirm existence of VC PO for applicable repairs.- Request Quote from ASP for repairs.- Convert ASP Quote to BFM Quote (Note: Submit to national claims for conversion).- Submit BFM quote to VC for approval.- After approval submit BFM quote with regional ASP quote to FFO PO for PO creation.- Submit approved PO to ASP.- Manage repair process and manage ASP SLA targets. After repairs and quality acceptance by mechanic is done, inform dispatch of generator availability.Upon completion of repair ASP to submit COA:- COA to be signed off by SPOC and returned to ASP for invoicing.- Confirm availability of Generators and Bowsers daily and compile weekly and monthly reports – Operational, deployable, and Non-operational.Maintain PRISM database for each generator and bowser:- Keep PRISM Database updated with license disk expiry dates.- Continuously monitor the status of the above and ensure that licenses are kept up to date.- Notify VC of any upcoming expiry date.Maintain PRISM database of all existing nose cones, steel cables, locks, and generator connection cables per generator unit. No generator may be dispatched without the mentioned equipment.Liaise with dispatch and confirm tracking unit is operational:- Order of all auxiliary items.- Manage vandalized and stolen auxiliary items with regards to OB numbers and claiming costs back from Insurance.- Follow up with stores with regards to delivered items and ensure delivery to the region.- Report to the client on status (serviceability) and corrective action taken.- Action all additional queries/requests.- Access Gentrack daily and verify data is correct.- Keep Dispatch Updated of non-operational and operational status.If mechanic or ASP for any reason cannot complete service/repair on PRISM, the SPOC must upload the documents.- Coordinate/liaise with ASP on long and short-term fixes.- Manage repair process and manage targets.- Manage Quotes received from ASP up until PO generated from Mobax to ASP after receiving PO from Vodacom.- Meet with ASP management and address concerns.- Give training and support to ASP when new systems are implemented.- Manage relations with ASP and escalate commercial issues in a timely manner to avoid operational disruptions.Check quality of data loaded and approve/reject all services performed on Generators via PRISM before mechanics can continue to next location.Weekly generator Inspections on Site.Health & Safety.Technical/Core TrainingMaintenance skills as per SOW.PRISM skills as per requirement.RF Skills- Inhouse training and competencies.Medicals as per H&S requirements.ASP experience on Maintenance.Statutory TrainingIMS (Integrated Management System).IT Training(General MS etc.) Microsoft Windows.SAP Plant Maintenance Modules.Microsoft Word.Health & Safety TrainingIncident Investigations.FUNDAMENTAL COMPETENCIESResult Orientation.Passionate.Customer/Client Focus.Good interpersonal skills.Initiative/Proactively.Decisiveness.Quick Reaction.Listening.Pays attention to detail.Flexibility.Self-Driven.Teamwork.Stress tolerance.Team Performance Driven.
