General Worker (JB4737) Cape Town Permanent, Full Time Facilities/Maintenance Manager Clearances Required: Criminal background check We are seeking a reliable General Worker to perform essential maintenance duties.
The successful candidate will inspect, troubleshoot, and perform repairs on building systems and equipment, including plumbing, electrical work, basic carpentry, and HVAC systems.
This role also involves assisting with the general upkeep of facilities.
Key Responsibilities: Inspect and identify equipment or systems in need of repair.
Troubleshoot issues and plan necessary repairs using blueprints or manuals.
Perform general repairs, such as painting, drywall, and door repairs.
Carry out routine maintenance on building systems.
Assist with facility cleaning and upkeep.
Order supplies and materials for repairs and maintenance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
Ability to follow instructions and use hand and power tools.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Physically fit and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
