General Worker / Cleaner

General Worker / CleanerKey duties and responsibilities: To ensure standards of cleanliness, hygiene and tidiness in all bathrooms, corridors, offices, classrooms, and public areas are maintained, as specified by the Estate Manager.Identify and action cleaning opportunities, in addition to set tasks.Perform cleaning duties on a regular basis and within a specified timeframe.A thorough practical knowledge of best practices in housekeeping processes, to maintain a clean and safe environment.Inform the Estate Manager of any problems or defects of the buildings and/or property.Inform the Estate Manager when cleaning supplies are running low.Keep equipment clean and in good working order.Additional skills and competencies required: Ability to work with little supervision.High energy levels.Punctual, reliable, and excellent work ethic.Able to communicate in English.Able to work well as part of a team.A Police Clearance certificate will be required.Advantageous: Two years of experience as a general worker/cleaner, or able to learn quickly.Ability to interact effectively with teaching and administrative staff.Familiarity with operating cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners.The ability to perform physical labour tasks.Closing date for applications: 02 October 2024.
