General Practitioner (Doctor) With Anesthesia Diploma

Key Responsibilities:Anesthesia Services:Administer anesthesia for surgical procedures in accordance with established protocols and patient needs.Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia to ensure safety and appropriate recovery.Manage anesthesia-related emergencies as they arise. 2. Emergency Department Cover (Optional):Provide daytime cover for the emergency department as needed.Assess and manage urgent medical cases presenting to the hospital.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. 3. Clinical Excellence:Uphold high standards of clinical practice and patient safety.Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient records and procedural details.Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay updated with latest medical advancements. 4. Team Collaboration:Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.Contribute to multidisciplinary meetings and case discussionsQualifications and Experience:Medical degree from a recognized institution.Registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a General Practitioner.Diploma in Anesthesia (or equivalent qualification) recognized by HPCSA.Proven experience in providing anesthesia services in a hospital setting, preferably in a private hospital environment.Experience or willingness to cover emergency department shifts is advantageous.Skills and Attributes:Strong clinical skills with a focus on anesthesia techniques and patient management.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and safety.
