Job Description Purpose of the Position Responsible for the operational execution of the Operations Strategy within one's designated region through providing leadership, managing labour productivity, service excellence, operational excellence , etc. all within one's allocated budget. The role is also responsible for cascading strategy into action throughout the relevant region and staff to ensure sustainable delivery of business Key Performance Areas (KPAs) Manage strategic alignment within the region with regards to the various Channels Responsible for providing business direction to one's region Provide input into operational functionality of service offerings, technology and innovation road mapping. Work in conjunction with the regional support teams to build plans for the future in alignment with the direction provided from Senior Management and ensure progress is made against strategic initiatives, issues and activities in all markets. Operations Process and systems management Lead all activities within one's region in order to execute the Operational strategy, implementing remedial actions where required to mitigate risk and financial impact Manage and maintain operational SLA's within one's region according to relevant agreements, policy and legislation Execute the functional roadmap within one's region Provide input into operational analytics/research, business case development, business requirements development, product development, software delivery lifecycle, and vendor management. Execute all projects within one's region in alignment with COMPANY project methodology and best practice, working closely with the change management and applicable teams. Be a key executor and supporter of COMPANY's Operational strategic initiatives including Cost efficiencies, Continuous improvement and Optimization. Provide input into any of the operational Customer Value Proposition development and entrenchment which aims to strategically strengthen and position COMPANY as a partner of choice. Provide critical information and understanding of the competitive landscape in a multi-channel environment Conduct a critical review of any financial impact analysis regarding any proposed operations solutions or operational amendments Compile and present monthly reports on progress against goals, constraints and suggestions for resolutions Work closely with applicable stakeholders to drive and leverage of technology to create the visualization of vale add data from a single source of truth. Own the below applicable middle to senior management stakeholder relationships to ensure seamless and effective engagements, execution and opportunity discovery: Customers Union Regulatory Internal Departments Lead the COMPANY culture Lead Transformation and BBB-EE initiatives to ensure sustainable alignment to the company scorecard Provide leadership to employees within the organisation, creating a winning culture and high morale Initiate and lead a culture of performance driven output through shared purpose vision and values Sustainability of the organisation through driving continuous improvement and efficiency programmes of work within Operations Work closely with the Business Efficiency team in order to operationalise efficiency projects which aim to create a sustainable COMPANY Provide input and feedback to the Business Efficiency team and Senior Management in terms of projects, lessons learnt and future optimisation possibilities Risk Management Implement a BCM plan and disaster recovery process for one's region to ensure availability, integrity, security and confidentiality Drive the COMPANY Risk and Governance Framework within one's region, ensuring compliance the operational minimum standards and SOP's Financial Performance Management Work closely with Operations Business Support and Finance to provide accurate financial information and forecasting for trade review Track adherence to budgeting for operational P&L, inclusive of the identification of cost efficiencies and financial performance measurements People Management Manage the Employee Value Proposition entrenchment with the aim to strengthen and position COMPANY as an employer of choice. Create a sustainable partnership with the union in order to pro-actively manage the labour climate within one's region Provide leadership to employees within COMPANY Creates a conducive environment which translates into productivity and high morale within COMPANY Inspire one's team to deliver on key performance areas Adhere to legislative requirements and Group policies and procedures Leading the focus on talent to instil value creation for high value contributors Create and monitor safe working environments within one's region Minimum Requirements: Work Experience 10 years' experience within a Supply Chain and or Cash industry (Banking environment would be advantageous) of which 5 years is at a middle management level Minimum Requirements: Education Degree: Supply Chain Management, Business Management or Similar Competencies Required Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to build strong relationships both internal and external Ability to influence key decision makers and power structures Ability to work across cross functional teams Strong level of resilience Ability to build and lead high performing teams Ability to understand and present financial information Solid business acumen skills
