General Manager - Mining Industry - R3Mil - R2.5Mil

RPO Recruitment's client in the Mining Industry is urgently seeking the expertise of a General Manager in Mpumalanga.
Responsibilities Direct and manage the work force and material resources to meet production targets within the approved budgets.
Conduct career discussions and implement actions with all identified talent (quarterly) and direct the human capital development programs through the Performance Management System in order to ensure continued availability of skills to effectively staff the operations at all levels.
Ensure discipline is maintained (absenteeism, lateness, overtime, misconduct, etc.).
Coach and counsel people to ensure improved performance levels.
Conduct recruitment interviews.
Plan for short and long-term production and maintenance strategies to stimulate process improvement and sustain production levels of ferrochrome in line with the company's corporate objectives.
Ensure the optimum utilization of maintenance resources and implement equipment upgrades, rehabilitation and replacement plans to enhance availability of production plants to meet production estimates at budgeted costs.
Requirements Grade 12.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
12 years' Metallurgical plant experience.
7 years' managerial experience.
Benefits Salary: R3Mil/yr - R2.5Mil/yr, negotiable.
