Responsibilities:
Manage all aspects of the business and achieve agreed budgets, team management, and reporting.
Achieve budgets, gross profit %, expenses, income, performance ratio, profit budget, GP%, cash and credit, ratio sales, shrinkages, and stock holdings.
Implement buying controls, manage stock products (consumer and wholesale), merchandising, stock card systems, stock purchases, promotions, pricing, supplier activity, performance, forward planning, cycle deals, negotiations, income statements, purchasing ratios, GRV's, purchase budgets, returns, price tracking, and cost tracking.
Oversee cash safety procedures, cash pickups, cash flow management, payments, expenses, cash up reports, COD payments, till shorts, debit and credit cards, petty cash, balancing cash deposits, speed point transactions, control all expenses, sundry orders, accuracy of income statements, rebates, monthly income statements, ensure payments are signed off, and age analysis monitoring.
Ensure compliance with all systems and procedures, monitor sales costs daily, prepare daily sales reports, discount reports, refunds, overings checked, and day-end reports.
Prepare for stock takes and ensure stock takes are done in accordance with agreed CPA, budget costs, and variance reports.
Build supplier relationships, identify lines for promotions, price setting, grow market share, and monitor market trends and ideas.
Manage sales reports, targets, losses control, minimize damages, stock shrinkage, checks, variance reports, counting stock, spot checks, and security checks.
Handle customer queries, ensure pamphlets are distributed, manage sales floor operations, schedule staff, ensure stock availability, manage staff costs, community interaction, and provide customer service training.
Ensure health and safety compliance, lead and motivate staff, plan leave schedules, manage time, schedule overtime staff, comply with conditions of employment, handle staff employment issues, CCMA representation, retrenchments, increases, goal setting, HR policies and procedures compliance, train staff, and measure productivity.
