Bedding down expanded capacity, efficiencies, and flexibility.
Financial Management Ensure compliance to Astral procedures, systems, and internal controls.
Oversee, manage, and review overall budget.
Accountable for operational costs within budget requirements.
Quality Assurance Ensure consistent product quality.
Ensure Food Safety and regulatory requirements are in place.
Ensure alignment with world-class manufacturing standards.
Service Delivery Ensure excellent service delivery with a focus on strike rates.
Maintain a client-centered approach.
Communication and Reporting Ensure effective internal and external communication.
Manage and control all business unit reporting to Astral standard requirements.
People Management Managing all labour-related matters, including manning, employment, and industrial relations.
Strategic skill development and succession planning and implementation.
Optimizing production throughput having regard for market requirements and plant capacities.
The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification.
7 years senior management experience in FMCG or manufacturing.
Fluent in English and one other official language.
Able to manage in a highly mechanized but labour-intensive environment.
Ability to work in a diverse workforce.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Some knowledge of the 20 keys system will be advantageous.
