About the role Totalstay operates the Latitude Aparthotel, offering premium accommodation and exceptional guest experiences. Situated in Sea Point, Cape Town, our property is renowned for its superior service, modern amenities, and prime beachfront location.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Aparthotel General Manager to lead our team and ensure the seamless operation of our property. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing housekeeping teams, along with exposure to VIP guest management, hotel marketing, revenue reporting, and overall hotel operations. This role requires a visionary leader who can inspire our team to deliver unparalleled guest satisfaction while driving revenue growth and maintaining operational excellence.

You'd be an excellent fit for this role if you have: Bachelor's degree or certification in Hospitality Management or related field. Proven experience in hotel management, with a focus across housekeeping, rooms division, operations, and guest services. Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric mindset. Solid understanding of revenue management principles and strategies. Proficiency in hotel management software and Google suite applications. Your roles and responsibilities: Leadership & Team Management: Provide visionary leadership to the entire hotel team, fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Recruit, train, and mentor housekeeping, concierge, and maintenance teams to ensure high performance and professional development. Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including housekeeping, front desk, maintenance, and guest services, to ensure exceptional guest experiences. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures to streamline operations and enhance efficiency. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to optimize performance. Guest Experience: Champion a guest-centric approach, ensuring that all guest interactions exceed expectations and reflect the brand's values. Implement personalized guest services and amenities to enhance VIP guest satisfaction and loyalty. Address guest feedback and resolve any issues or concerns in a timely and effective manner. Revenue Management: Assist the Totalstay central Revenue team to develop and execute strategies to drive revenue growth, including pricing optimization, upselling opportunities, and promotional campaigns. Marketing: Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for revenue and experiential enhancement. Work closely with the marketing department to develop and implement ideas that enhance the brand image, credibility, and occupancy rates. Financial Management: Work with the Totalstay Operations team to develop and manage the hotel budget, ensuring that revenue and expenses are in line with financial targets. Implement cost-control measures to maximize profitability while maintaining service quality. Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for senior management. Quality Assurance and Compliance: Maintain high standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and safety throughout the property. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and company policies. Conduct regular inspections and audits to uphold quality assurance standards.
