This role includes managing maintenance, supervising engineering teams, optimizing processes, and ensuring adherence to safety and environmental regulations. This person needs to come from Engineering background and not a "Miner" background.Requirements:Minimum education (essential):Grade 12Minimum of N4 Certificate (Preferably electrical engineering)Foreman Certificate preferableMinimum applicable experience (years):At least 7 years of Experience within an underground environment (Huge advantage of Underground coal experience)Person needs to be of an Engineering background and not a "Miner" background.Underground Mining Experience is a non-negotiable, so please do not apply if you do not hold this experience.Strong knowledge of safety and environmental regulations.Proven leadership and project management skills.Job Description: Key Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.Oversee maintenance and repair of mining equipment.Supervise and manage engineering staff and contractors.Plan and execute engineering projects and upgrades.Monitor and optimize operational efficiency.Prepare regulatory reports and maintain documentation.Provide technical support to other departments.Develop and implement staff training programs.
