Job Title: General Engineering Supervisor – Mining
Location: Northern Cape, South Africa
Hire Resolve's Client are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Engineering Supervisor to join our team in the mining industry in the Northern Cape. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering and supervisory experience in a mining environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and coordinate the engineering department's daily activities, including maintenance, repairs, and installations
Manage a team of engineers, technicians, and support staff, ensuring that work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to company standards
Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance of equipment and machinery
Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment inventory, and workforce assignments
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols in all engineering activities
Collaborate with other departments to support overall operational goals and objectives


Requirements:

A Valid Trade Certificate and N5 Certificate
Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role in the mining industry
Strong knowledge of mining equipment, machinery, and processes
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Knowledge of relevant safety and environmental regulations
Willingness to work on-site and in challenging conditions as needed
