TO QUALIFY TO JOIN OUR SCHOOL AS A GENERAL CATERING ASSISTANT YOU WOULD: Have a min. 2 years of Catering / Kitchen Assistant experience.Have an appropriate qualification as a Catering / Kitchen Assistant.Be engaging, honest, genuine, and kind.Have excellent teamwork, communication and collaboration skills.Have strong values that align to the Christian ethos of the school.Have a clear criminal clearance certificate.OUR EXPECTATIONS ARE THAT YOU WOULD: Ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the catering department, delivering the highest work standard in all aspects of catering.Take a hands-on approach in every aspect of kitchen work, managing time and working under pressure.Assist as directed with the preparation of food.Ensure a consistently high standard of cleanliness in all areas of work.Ensure compliance with all Fire, Health and safety, HACCP & food and safety/hygiene regulations.Ensure that all equipment is maintained to an excellent standard of cleanliness.Assist with the preparation of the food for functions / events.THE BENEFITS FOR YOU ARE THAT: You will work as a Kitchen Assistant with a school with a positive, happy and supportive culture.You will have many opportunities to continue developing your skills.You will be supported by the St John's D.S.G internal catering team.
