General Assistant (Shipping) - Grinding Assistant

SA STEELWORKS GENERAL ASSISTANT – SHIPPING (BILLET GRINDERS)AIRPORT INDUSTRIA - CAPE TOWN The SA Steelworks Shipping department requires committed, hardworking and motivated individuals to join their team.
The successful applicants will be responsible for, but not limited to grinding of billets in preparation for export.
RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: Grinding of Billets using a Big angle grinderAssisting the shipping team when requiredHousekeeping - Ensuring the cleanliness of all work stations and areasAssisting with Ad hoc dutiesAny other work tasks as operationally required  QUALIFYING REQUIREMENTSGrade 12Knowledge of hand toolsExperience working with Power toolsPrevious experience in the same or similar role (advantageous)Familiar with health and safety rules and regulations  CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTESHard working and self-motivatedWilling to work overtime and weekends when requiredPhysically Fit (able to handle materials, tools etc.
)Able to work in a team and independentlyHonest and reliableWilling to learnPunctualAbility to multi task and manage a demanding workload in a pressurised environment
