Job Title: GCC Engineer Location: Free State, South Africa Industry: Mining Position Overview: Hire Resolve's Leading Client is looking for an experienced GCC Engineer to join their mine in the Free State. The GCC Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the engineering function within a mining operation in the Free State province. This includes ensuring compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act, managing maintenance and repair of equipment, developing and implementing engineering projects, and providing technical support to the production team. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and oversee all engineering activities within the mine - Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations, including the Mine Health and Safety Act - Plan and implement maintenance schedules for equipment and machinery - Develop and manage engineering projects to improve operational efficiency - Provide technical support to the production team, including troubleshooting and problem-solving - Supervise and mentor junior engineering staff - Manage budget and resources effectively Requirements: - GCC (Government Certificate of Competency) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - Minimum of 5 years of experience in a mining environment - National Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering - Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Mine Health and Safety Act - Strong technical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines - Experience in managing and mentoring junior engineering staff - Valid driver's license Benefits: Salary: R2m R3m CTC Our client is offering a highly competitive salary for this role based on experience.
