Game Ranger

5 Star Game Lodge in Limpopo requires a Head Ranger in protecting and supervising designated outdoor areas and Wildlife and ensure that game drive experience meet or exceed guests' expectations. Responsible for supervising the Game Driving department.
• Assist with the management of all game vehicles and equipment.
• Ensuring that effective stock control and stock procedures and methods are enforced for all gaming equipment.
• Conduct monthly stock counts of game equipment including diesel and fuel, radios, etc.
• Ensuring that all game experience standards are met by immediate staff.
• Ensuring that the team is well trained in terms of Product knowledge to be able to confidently assist guest with any queries.
• Ensuring that the team complies with Health and safety standards at all times.
• Ensuring that every ranger and tracker's legal requirements are up to date, e.g., PDP, first aid, FAGASA qualifications, drivers licence, DEET, Advanced rifle handling, firearm competency and registration, etc
Requirements:
• Grade 12/Matric • FGASA level 2 or NQF 4 qualification
• Trails Guide and Rifle Handling Qualification, preferably Advanced
• Valid first aid certificate
• Code 8 drivers license and PDP
• Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience on a reserve
• 4 x 4 training with a recognized institution
• Registered with DEAT
• SASSETA qualified (firearm) and in possession of a firearm competency certificate from SAP
