We're on the hunt for a Funyak Supervisor - to lead our team of outdoor river guiding enthusiasts who love water and adventure. Your role will also see you guide manuhiri (visitors) on Funyak's (inflatable canoes) along the Dart River, a treasured and unique environment. If you're a natural leader, mentor, storyteller and entertainer, then this is the perfect role for you!
Our Funyak experience combines jet boating on the beautiful and iconic Dart River with a canoe journey in the heart of Mt Aspiring National Park. A wilderness picnic lunch and exploration of the stunning Rockburn Chasm are a highlight of the tour.

A little bit about what you'll bring to the role:
We're after someone who:
Loves the outdoorsHas previous experience in swift water canoeing, kayaking or raftingIs a natural leader of peopleCares about delivering amazing experiences for our visitorsWorks well in a teamIs computer literate and has previous administration experienceIs physically fit and keeps cool under pressureHas previous experience of guiding and hosting customers on activities in dynamic outdoor environmentsIs open to learning about Ngai Tahu culture and storiesIs able to work shifts on weekdays, weekends and public holidays. A full, clean driver's licence with Class 2 and Passenger endorsement is preferable. As is having attended a River Rescue course in the last three years and possessing a current first aid certificate.
There's more to being a Funyak Guide than paddling the river, so we provide full training to ensure you can deliver safe and exciting experiences.
