Hiring: Middle Office Settlements and Risk Analyst – Equities & Derivatives (Stellenbosch)Job Summary: The Middle Office Specialist is key in ensuring accurate and timely trade capture, matching, and settlement for equities, derivatives, and other assets.
Collaborate closely with traders, risk and compliance teams, and external partners to resolve issues, manage risks, and ensure regulatory compliance.Key Responsibilities:Trade Booking & Settlement: Accurately capture and process multi-asset trades, ensuring prompt matching and settlement instructions.Daily Reconciliation: Oversee and enhance trade and data reconciliations, resolving discrepancies swiftly.Risk Management: Monitor and report settlement risks and potential failures.Client Support: Deliver high-touch service, optimizing technology and STP workflows.Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to boost efficiency and reduce risk.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and internal policies.Reporting: Generate and analyze daily exception reports for timely resolution.Qualifications:Education: BCom degreeExperience: Relevant experience in trade settlements or middle office roles.Skills: Proficient in trade settlement systems (e.g., DTCC's CTM, SWIFT), Excel, with strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.Preferred: Experience with equities, derivatives, FX, and fixed income products, and knowledge of trade settlement regulations.
