Role purpose
This role will be responsible for the execution of processes and controls relating to Corporate actions, on either the Local or International side of the team, as well as for the collating and keeping of KPI's. This role has a focus on an internal controlled environment including compliance with client and market requirements, policies and procedures.
Key Outputs
Interpret, diarise and action all corporate event notifications received from custodians and exchanges.
Accurate and timely updating of corporate events on Hiportfolio, including dividends, in compliance with client and market requirements, policies and procedures.
Accurate and timely updating/instruction of all elective events on electronic banking systems and manual faxes.
Accurate and timely updating of all partial redemptions, private placing and share swaps.
Responsibilities
Follow control functions for the accurate processing of all corporate actions
Provide Fund Managers with accurate and timely notification of all corporate actions where decisions are required.
Ensure that custodians are advised of corporate action decisions, on elective events, within the pre-agreed timetable. Compliant with client and market requirements.
Maintain up to date and informative procedure manuals and checklists for all Corporate Action related processes.
Collating, keeping and reporting on KPI's. (weekly and monthly)
Proxy management on Local shares, compliant with client and market requirements.
Be a member of a project team (as required)
Partake in the Monthly Unit Trust Distribution exercise.
Minimum Requirements
Tertiary Financial Qualification with a business or accounting background
A minimum of 5 year's Financial Administration working experience
Proficient in MS office
Good knowledge and understanding of the Financial Markets and Financial instruments
