Great service starts with our people, so colleague and client engagement are the two measures we care most about, driving our management agenda and investment.Key Responsibilities Undertaking the bookkeeping for a portfolio of investment fund structures in Investran and conducting full, detailed reviews of own work prior to submission for review by a senior client accountant.Preparation and reconciliation of monthly bank accounts.Maintaining pro-active communication to ensure that the Fund Accounting Manager is kept appraised of the status of all deliverables.Working closely with counterparts on other teams to ensure seamless and coordinated service delivery.Maintaining files in accordance with internal policies and procedures.Proactively look to develop own skills within the wider business and assisting other teamsIn addition to the duties listed above, the Fund Accountant may be requested to perform any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested by the Fund Accounting Manager.Preparation of quarterly management accounts & annual financial statements (including assisting with the audit process)Demonstrating competence with all fund accounting work and progressing with more complex cases and an increased volume of work as knowledge of the entities and accounting standards (and professional studies) increases Key Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting3 years' experience in financial services industryHave commenced or intends to commence study towards the completion of a professional accountancy qualificationGood knowledge of IFRS and ideally other GAAPsKnowledge of InvestranFamiliarity with tax-efficient European fund structures and related investment vehicles and regulatory requirements – this would be considered as advantageOther characteristics: promptly and efficiently completes work assignments, manages personal workload effectively, responds to and anticipates client needs in a timely & professional manner, listens actively, considers people's concerns & ability to adjust approach accordingly, consistently strives to provide a quality service, takes responsibility for obtaining & sharing required information with others, acts with highest level of integrity at all times and acts in a professional manner.
