"Innovation survives only when people believe in their own ideas."Levo LeagueContractLocation: Cape TownDuration: 12 monthsWork Type: Hybrid (bulk remote)We are looking for a full stack engineer to work on our frontend React applications and our JS/TS/C# backend APIs and MySQL databases.Roles and Responsibilities:Expand on our existing NodeJS-driven APIs and create new ones as our product suite and third-party integrations expand.Expand on our existing C# APIs and create new ones as our product suite and third-party integrations expand.Ensure that secure and robust coding practices are being adhered to.Assist with deciding and planning which features we will build, and how they are architected and implemented.Work closely with your team, which includes other software engineers, QA engineers, product managers, designers, and members of the broader Sanlam Indie team.Test your work, with as much automation as is useful.Ensure the code you've created can work in an AWS environment, with plenty of help from the AWS experts on the team.Ensure your solutions are well documented and enjoyable for other developers to read.Further to the above:Highly proficient in a full stack tech stack, with experience in frontend frameworks like React.Able to work independently, figuring out how to build something new with little more than a brief.Familiar with the concepts of style guides, pattern libraries & design systems, and writing modular, reusable code.A thinker who can contribute to problem-solving design-oriented user experience issues.Experience writing automated tests.Experience in helping other developers improve the quality of their output and technical solutions; willing to demonstrate this as part of the interview process.Experience integrating with third-party APIs and services.
