FTTH Splicer - George, Western Cape  Our client who is a leading IT and Fiber optic network (FNO) provider, is seeking an innovative  FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) Splicer to join their dynamic team in  George, Western Cape.
As an FTTH Splicer, you will be responsible for the installation, splicing, and maintenance of fiber optic cables in residential and commercial settings.
You will work closely with their field technicians and project managers to ensure high-quality installations and prompt resolution of any technical issues.
Key Responsibilities: Perform fiber optic splicing, termination, and testing for FTTH installations.
Read and interpret fiber optic network schematics and blueprints.
Utilize fusion splicing and mechanical splicing techniques to join optical fibers.
Conduct fiber optic testing using OTDR, power meters, and other testing equipment.
Install and maintain fiber optic cables, enclosures, and related equipment.
Troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues and system malfunctions.
Collaborate with team members to plan and execute installation projects.
Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and company policies.
Maintain accurate records of splicing work, inventory, and project documentation.
Requirements: Proven experience in FTTH splicing and fiber optic installation.
Proficiency in using fusion splicing machines, OTDR, and other fiber optic testing tools.
Strong understanding of fiber optic network components and systems.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Salary:  R8 000 - R15 000 depending on experience  Apply Now!
