Develop APIs that integrate data between existing business applications, create highly responsive and interactive cross-platform web/mobile applications using React Native, and build hybrid mobile applications on Ionic Framework, Angular, and Cordova for accessing native devices to address evolving business needs. Responsibilities:Design, develop, code, test, implement and maintain programs and applications in a multi-platform environment to ensure efficient and optimized operational programs.Introduce and develop new business-relevant content, solutions, and manage the enhancement of existing portal content and systems in line with PetroSA Enterprise Architecture principles and standards.Participate in, coordinate, and review all phases of the software development life cycle to ensure that development conforms to performance optimization and interoperability standards and requirements.Coordinate and monitor all aspects and phases of the project including objectives, scope, costs, timelines, resources, outcomes, success measures, problem resolution, and risks to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.Manage the identification of potential web/mobile application systems and risks, developing and implementing risk mitigation strategies.Manage the backup and recovery processes for web/mobile services, including testing, to ensure business-critical information is secure.Implement information services policies and procedures, making recommendations on changes to ensure alignment with current legislation.Analyze internal and external environmental factors, evaluate and report on trends, and design and implement interventions to introduce best practices.Execute incident management processes by logging and resolving calls on the incident management system within SLA, monitoring for incidents related to web/mobile services, and escalating incidents with service providers as required.Execute IS asset management processes for web/mobile services to ensure an inventory of all development assets is recorded and maintained.Provide technical advice and assistance to internal and external customers regarding requests or queries related to the information services department.Minimum Qualifications:B Degree/National Diploma in Information Systems or BSc in Computer Science3 - 5 years relevant experience in mobile app development, maintenance, and administration of mobile apps with at least 3 - 4 years' experience in Android and iOS, with good API and database integration knowledge.Knowledge of IT regulatory trends.NB: As part of our recruitment process, candidates will be required to undergo vetting/security clearance.PetroSA is committed to equality, employment equity, and diversity regarding employment opportunities, and accordingly, preference will be given to historically disadvantaged groups.
