Ensuring robust and effective controls will remain a significant element of the C&P deliverables. Providing assurance and supporting structures for C&P controls framework and process efficiency including cost control and systems management.Improvement in total cost of ownership through the procurement of goods and services is a top priority for this position.Key Objectives / Accountabilities:Ensures timely execution of contracts (services and materials) in line with the annual Contract Plan for the Contracts section.Deliver value for money through implementation of C&P strategies and techniques as determined for specific contracts that are executed.Optimisation of services and materials contracts.Placing of once off and recurring orders.Actively reducing annual costs.Proactively managing and monitoring the individual materials and service contracts.Responsibilities And Activities:Contract Strategy development with SAPREF Team and presentation to SAPREF's Governance.Drafting of Commercial Terms & Conditions, including Pricing Preambles and Pricing Schedules for Contracts.Preparation and issue of tender documents, including Tender Clarification Meetings / Site Meetings.Tender Evaluation and Clarifications.Contract Negotiations.Preparation of Contract Award Proposals and presentation to SAPREF's Governance.Evaluation and processing of contract variations.Claims management and dispute resolution.Contract Price Adjustment (CPA).Contractor performance management and appraisals.Market investigation and contractor pre-qualification.Processing timeous contract renewals / extensions.Participate in the Monthly contractor meetings.Job Requirements:Have a tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management / Logistics/Procurement or equivalent business or commercial qualification.Have a minimum of 3-6 years Contracting &/or Procurement experience within the Refining, Petrochemical, Oil Industry or other Process Industry.Have excellent communication and influencing skills.Be able to operate effectively under pressure.
