How about you?Job Grade: 8Location: Durbanville, Western CapeFunction: Durbanville Hills - Marketing - Consumer ExperienceType of Contract: PermanentReference Number: 122771Closing Date: 18.10.2024Purpose:This role has hospitality duties and will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Brand Home, including building brand awareness, exceeding customer expectations through service excellence, and achieving wine sales and F&B revenue targets while maintaining world-class hospitality standards and curating memorable experiences for all consumers. The successful candidate will be expected to work a 45-hour work week, which will include most Saturdays and Sundays, as well as Public Holidays on a regular basis. This role will require the successful candidate to be front of house for 80% of their time with a strong focus on customer service and B2C wine sales.Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:Manage the operation of the tasting room and Olive Grove terrace during scheduled shiftsMeet and greet customers, and manage table reservationsRespond to customer queries and complaintsRecruit, train, evaluate, manage, and motivate staffManage staff rosters for service and housekeeping staffResponsible for customer and corporate VIP satisfaction of the Brand Home experienceConduct tours and tastings for all guests including VIP visitorsHost and manage functions during the day and possibly in the eveningMaintain high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safetyMeticulous management of housekeeping and extraordinary attention to detail in area of responsibilityManage Brand Home stock and minimize lossesDaily cash up of staff and day-end duties for the brand homeCompiling staff weekly time sheets and commission reportsThe successful candidate must have the following qualifications, skills, and experience:A Tertiary qualification in Public Relations, Hospitality Management, Tourism, or Event CoordinationExperience in the wine industryA Preliminary Cape Wine Academy course or WSET will be an advantageExperience in a hospitality environmentMust be wine sales drivenExcellent people management skills with a proven record in this areaAbility to operate independently, exercise excellent judgment and decision-making, cope under pressure, and be totally customer service-drivenExcellent communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levelsGood problem-solving abilityStrong numeric abilityProven literacy in MS OfficeValid driver's license and own transportDeliver:Play to win & celebrate successDeliver the goodsShape:Think consumer firstMake courageous movesConnect:Champion a culture of belongingLearn, share & reapplyDevelop:Have real conversationsEmbrace learning & growthThe Company's approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
