We are looking for a French speaking experienced Commercial Attorney with a commercial contracting background. A strong candidate brings extensive legal expertise in negotiating, drafting, and reviewing complex commercial contracts, ideally within the supply chain/procurement domain.
Experience required: A Legal degree/admitted attorney with commercial expertise.A minimum of 5 years' experience in a commercial/legal environment.Knowledge in contract law and/or drafting is a requirement.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders. Responsibilities/KPIs include, but are not limited to: Reviewing RFP submissions and quotes ensuring maximum safeguards and benefits to the company, based on information provided by the originator such as technical specifications, commercial factors, etc.Conduct thorough legal reviews of all quotes to be issued as tenders to clients, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable laws.Negotiating favorable terms and conditions, terms of payment, etc. with clients.Identify potential legal risks in tender documents and work with the relevant teams to mitigate these risks.Engage with contract managers about the value of robust procurement and ensure adequate internal training and processes are understood and best practices are adhered to.Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including finance and engineering teams, to gather necessary information and ensure all legal aspects are covered.Monitor the legal landscape for any changes that could impact tender processes and provide regular updates to the senior management team.Develop and implement best practices for the legal review of quotes and tenders to enhance efficiency and reduce legal risks.Maintain comprehensive records of all tender documents, legal reviews, and related correspondence for future reference and audit purposes.Attending to all meetings with providers, taking minutes where required and providing general support to the team.
