Freight Customs Coordinator

£30,000-33,000 salary; pension; 23 days holiday to start; hybrid working We now have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Customs Coordinator based in Sale working for a worldwide freight forwarding company. With over 70 offices, 200 agents covering 5 continents we offer local expertise with global experience catering to each customer's specific transportation and logistics needs.This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office and 2 days home.Your role of Senior Customs Coordinator to handle import customs clearances. In this position you will hold ultimate responsibility for the following duties / tasks:-Provide an outstanding level of customer service to both internal & external clients-Handling Sea / Air and Road freight customs clearances.-Ensure the accurate and timely processing of import customs declarations-Ensure correct payment of duty & VAT-Manage the release of consignments at port-All aspects of CDS & Customs Warehousing-Manage post clearance actionApplying candidates will possess:-Experience from working for a freight forwarder in a Customs/ imports role-A broad understanding of the overall customs process-Knowledge of Import Clearance systems, ideally CDS but any imports clearance skills are welcome Chief/ASM/CNS/Destin8/Boxtop-Extensive knowledge of the customs tariff-Excellent communication skills-Strong attention to detail-Exceptional IT skills-Ability to work as part of a team or as an individual-Strong organisational & time management skillsBenefitsSalary £30,000 to £33,000 Flexibility for the right candidatePension23 days holiday rising with length of serviceHybrid working 3 days in the office, 2 days from home #J-18808-Ljbffr
