Senior Metrology Process Engineer

Location: High Tech Campus, Eindhoven
As a Senior Metrology Process Engineer, you will lead and work on process engineering and development projects for integrated thin film applications, products, and processes for both internal and external customers, aiming to deliver baseline processes. Your main challenge will be to assist in leading the Metrology Engineering Cluster, developing measurement processes, and collaborating with Project Managers, Sales, Product Engineers, other Process Engineers, and Operators/Technicians.
Key Responsibilities:
Support manufacturing and design areas by developing and implementing measurement methods, analyzing existing ones, and conducting necessary training.
Ensure compliance with quality regulations (ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 14001) and sustain cleanroom environments for metrology equipment.
Create, maintain, and optimize tool recipes in collaboration with Product Engineering and Operations.
Lead and coach engineers and technicians.
Support non-standard metrology requests during product development and root cause investigations.
Perform and assist in Gauge Repeatability and Reproducibility (GR&R) studies and generate comprehensive summary reports.
Manage equipment calibration and maintenance programs.
Contribute to continuous process improvement efforts to reduce scrap, cycle times, improve efficiency, and eliminate waste.
Maintain a customer service attitude in interactions with internal and external customers.
Keep a clean, orderly, and safe workstation at all times.
Participate in continuous technological development, through regular contacts within and outside the department.
Participate in multi-disciplinary teams for purchasing new equipment, contributing to process requirements, specifications, and acceptance protocols.
Engage in proactive communication with stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and colleagues.
Perform other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Must haves (mention all of these in your motivation):
Master's or bachelor's degree in the exact sciences.
Experience in process engineering and development.
Proficiency in reading and understanding engineering specifications.
Strong understanding of Quality Control (QC) and Six Sigma methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, both technical and interpersonal.
Knowledge of fundamental engineering tools such as Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
Pragmatic, creative, and flexible attitude with a result-driven, can-do mentality.
Adherence to all relevant standard operating procedures as per company policy.
Support and contribute to Lean Sigma programs and activities to achieve set targets.
Compliance with the company's safety and quality policies.
Excellent communication skills, with a professional level of written and verbal communication in English.
