The ideal candidate has a passion for film and television production, building an audience, and leading a team. This is a hands-on position that leads the team by example. You are a content brain who has big goals and a big vision. You love content the process of immersing yourself in new and different subject matters. Listening habits are changing rapidly and you will be in charge of connecting with our audience where they are and leading the team toward adapting workflow to grow the show's digital audience. You are curious, collaborative, and creative. You have a willingness to try new things and the ability to give constructive consistent feedback.Position Responsibilities:Report to production.Collaborate with the Series Director and team to deliver the best story possible on a limited budget and within a limited time frame.Develop scripts.Develop and execute content strategies that align with the company's objectives and target audience's interests.Develop the dramaAfter reviewing available material, shifts toward putting it together.Communicate, guide & sit with post-production.Connect pieces and juxtapose moments in a way that makes the story entertaining.This process often starts with an outline. Story producers map out their story on paper to find its structure and flow. They flex their dramatic skills to tease out conflict, conjure suspense, and shape bits of life into powerful story arcsWrite, edit, and proofread content to ensure it meets quality standards and is engaging, informative, and accurate.Collaborate with graphic designers, videographers, and other creative professionals to produce multimedia content such as videos, infographics, and interactive media.Manage content calendars, ensuring timely publication of materials across various platforms including websites and social media.Conduct interviews and research to generate fresh content ideas and gather information for stories or articles.Ensure compliance with copyright laws and other legal guidelines related to content publication and distribution.Lead their team through content production and any challenges that might arise.Communicate effectively and professionally at all times.Attend all studio shootsDirect the editorial storyline throughout the entire post-production process, on all episodes, the generic promo and the episode promos.Manage the research process and ensure that all stories submitted are within the format of the project.Attend internal and client story pitches and advise on the best selectionsGuide the research team on the type of content that needs to be generated.Guide the editors on the style and type of content required.Responsible for all content that goes onto the show, making sure that they match the client's vision.Attend and conduct pre-production meetings with Researchers as and when required.Ensuring smooth communication link between the production teamRequired Education and Experience:Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum of seven years' experience in film & television industryExperience working with local broadcasters and meeting delivery standards5 years experience managing teamwork and projectsKnowledge and Abilities:Ability to produce programs that meet Weldun Media standardsProven ability to contribute to a positive, diverse, creative, high-performance cultureAbility to advocate for program/resources/staffSupervisory skills and ability to recruit, coach and develop talentLeadership and personnel skills and ability to inspire and lead the staffAbility to manage changeAbility to evaluate content/quality/sound and act decisively with sound managementKnowledge of new media applications for digital distribution, audience engagement and community networkingWorking Conditions:Must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Ability to manage some work outside of standard office hours as needed.Required to move about in an office environment and sit for extended periods of timeRequired to move about in the film and television industry communityFrequent use of hands for data entry/keystrokes and simple grasping
