Chefs Pantry - Staff Solutions DivisionWe are looking for experienced chefs to join our team for the 2024/2025 season, working within the events and wedding industry, as well as for various food establishments such as restaurants, hotels, and pubs. This role involves contract work that is seasonal, with assignments ranging from one day to a week, depending on the client's needs.About Us:Chefs Pantry was established in 2019 after I relocated back from the UK. We offer a range of services, including:- Pop-up restaurants- Catering- Private chefs- Recruitment- Consultancy- Hiring out contract chefsWe currently supply chefs to five companies and are always looking to expand our client base throughout the Western Cape. When you work with us, you represent the Chefs Pantry brand and are expected to maintain our high standards in every assignment.Positions Available:- Chef de Parties- Sous Chefs- Head ChefsJob Details:This is a contractor-based role, meaning you will manage your own taxes and invoice us for payment. Payments are processed via EFT within 7 working days of receiving your invoice. Pay rates range from R70 to R100 per hour, depending on your role.Please note that you might occasionally need to work at a lower chef level than your current position. We also cover transport costs; chefs are expected to cover the first 40 km themselves, after which we pay R3 per km for the round trip.Responsibilities:Your duties will be determined by the Head Chef, Owner, or Catering Manager at the venue where you are assigned. Your primary role is to assist them and contribute to the smooth operation of the kitchen.Requirements:- Minimum of 4 years of experience in the catering industry.- Chef knives and uniform.- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.- Strong understanding of food health and safety regulations.- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.- Strong communication skills.If you are a dedicated and efficient chef looking to work with top-tier establishments, we'd love to hear from you!
