Frail Care Caregiver

Job Description We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and professional Frail Caregiver to join our care team.
The ideal candidate will provide outstanding care to elderly or disabled individuals in a frail care setting.
They must be capable of maintaining a secure and comforting environment for our patients, ensuring their needs are met and promoting their independence wherever possible.
Requirements (NQF 3) National Certificate in Home Based Personal Care or Ancillary Healthcare Registered Caregiver with Department of Social Development Minimum of 2 years experience in a caregiving role, preferably in a frail care setting.
Knowledge of basic medical procedures and use of medical equipment.
Understanding and respect for the needs and rights of elderly and disabled individuals.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, such as lifting and moving patients.
Ability to adhere to ethical codes, regulations, and guidelines.
Valid drivers license may be beneficial.
Fluency in English and at least one local language.
Responsibilities Assist patients with daily activities such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Monitor and record patients health condition and report to healthcare professionals when necessary.
Administer medication according to prescribed routines, ensuring correct dosages and times.
Facilitate social and recreational activities to improve patients quality of life.
Accompany patients to medical appointments and other errands as necessary.
Maintain a safe and clean environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
Respond to emergencies promptly and follow protocol to ensure patient safety.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient information according to federal and state regulations and laws.
Develop relationships with patients, their families, and other healthcare providers to support patient care.
