We are seeking a Forge / Mechanical Specialist for a permanent role based in East London, Eastern Cape Applicants are required to meet the following criteria: Matric/Grade 12 / equivalentN6 Mechanical Engineering Qualification/ Diploma/ or equivalent and/or Certified Trade3 years' experience in Mechanical Engineering/ Production Engineering Support – preferable in forging or similar industry.Working knowledge of AutoCAD/CATIAStrong Mechanical, analytical and problem-solving skills.The successful applicant would be responsible for, but not limited to: Ensure routine maintenance is completed as per manufacturers requirements, lessons learnt (SPL)and work instructionsImplement corrective action to ensure problems are not repeated – root cause analysisLiaise with Maintenance & Production daily to ensure the effective care of the Plant assetsGenerate monthly reports on performance levels, opportunities and challenges.Monitor and manage waste to ensure little or no variance existsDevelop systems to ensure CI and the monitoring and reporting thereof.Production SupportSHE - ISO14001, IATF16949 and ISO 45001- Ensure safe practices are in place and understood / practiced by all5S standards & housekeeping rulesEnsure MDW processes is workingSalary: Market related
