Job Description To effectively manage his/her own work in an independent manner to ensure adherence to agreed SLA's, meeting departmental and quality requirements. This extends to but is not limited to the Short Term Insurance environment whereby the investigator will be responsible for investigations requested by Discovery Insure Management and other business units within the Discovery Group.
Job Responsibilities Accountable for independently leading and conducting quality investigations.Support management in implementing fraud prevention programs and creating awareness with role-players.Demonstrate highly developed analytical and investigative skills with consistent high performance.Handle administrative functions independently and/or with minimal support.Build relationships with internal and external clients to achieve objectives.Possess knowledge of the relevant business processes impacted by the investigation.Conduct interviews of staff/providers.Draft affidavits and open SAPS cases.Provide feedback on investigations to management through Investigation Reports.Work Experience Grade 12.5 years' experience in forensic investigations with specific reference to Short Term Insurance investigations/processes.Understanding of business processes/risk or internal audit background.CFE qualification is advantageous.Previous South African Police Service experience/detective experience.Education / Qualifications / Accreditations Grade 12.NQF 6 or higher qualification in Criminal Justice/Law.CFE Qualification.Technical Skills or Knowledge Commitment to getting the job done.Good verbal and writing skills.Demonstrates commitment to high professional ethical standards and a diverse workplace.Plans activities and projects well in advance and considers possible changing circumstances.Easily establishes good relationships with customers and peers.Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.Takes initiative and works under own direction.Keeps emotions under control during difficult situations.Demonstrates good judgment and decision-making skills.Encourages others to value team culture.Adaptable to new ways of doing business.Conflict management skills.EMPLOYMENT EQUITY The Company's approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
