FOODS DEPARTMENT MANAGERSalary: Market RelatedOur client, a retail "giant" multinational group, are looking for Department Managers for theirstores across various regions.MAIN PURPOSETo attract and grow our customer base, through a customer facing or supportive role and indoing so increase the market share, turnover and profitability. To provide exceptional customerservice by ensuring customer care, a world class shopping experience for our customers, to playa role in minimising risk and increasing profitability in your store.KEY OUTCOMESProvide exceptional customer service to internal and external customersRecruit, select, manage and develop people to meet competence requirementsParticipate in team to ensure achievement of department and store goalsManage implementation and integration of new initiatives to achieve project goalsParticipate in general store operational dutiesSupervise and coach staff to meet competence requirementsJob specific responsibilities as per Job Profile (dependent on position)KEY COMPETENCIESPassion for the Customer establish lifelong relationships with our customersPassion for Retail and SellingLiving the Brand: Personal leadership and attitude to work i.e. the differenceVersatile communication skillsProven team leadership skillsAction and results orientatedAssertive and proactiveProblem solving and decision making skillsComputer Literacy skillsCommercial acumen and numeracyAttention to detailCreative and innovative and keeps up to date on retail trendsMINIMUM ROLE REQUIREMENTS? Entry Requirement: Grade 11 or NQF3 completed, and Grade 12 will be advantageous? Retail and or Business Management Diploma would be advantages? 2-5 years role experience as a Supervisor or Manager in Retail? Retail experience highly advantages? Team Management would be advantages? Leadership and Management experience would be advantageous? Ability to work shifts that meet operational requirements
