Food Technologist - Festive

The ideal candidate would be responsible for:Being part of the Astral Poultry Division Technical Team in providing technical assistance to all Business Units.Evaluating and maintaining product composition, product labelling, and specification compliance (KPI monitoring).Driving NPD projects in accordance with protocol:Conducting factory trials and feasibility studies.Liaising with relevant suppliers, customers, and government bodies when needed.Drafting specifications.Conducting sensory evaluations.Final product approval.Conducting factory trials aimed at improved product and process profitability.Interpreting customer needs and conducting product testing at their premises.The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:Matric Qualification.BSc in Food Science or B.
Tech in Food Technology Degree.Strong background in food labeling legislation.3 to 5 years of experience in the meat industry; food service background beneficial.Excellent problem-solving skills.Strong attention to detail, self-starter, and ability to work independently while juggling multiple tasks.Ability to meet deadlines and use initiative.Maintain 20 keys.
