Food Safety & Quality Assurance Manager

Minimum requirements:At least 5 years experience in establishing and implementing a GFSI system.As the Food Safety Manager, achieved a GFSI certificationOutstanding Internal auditing skills on FSSC22000(or any other GFSI System).Internal auditing experience on ISO14001 will be to the applicants advantage. Assertive and Results drivenPunctual on achieving target datesExcellent Time managementEfficient, well organised and approach tasks in a structured wayMS Office (Excel, Powerpoint,Word)Management and Leadership skillsLab management experienceConflict management skillsReport writing skillsProblem solvingDrivers licenceRole and responsibilities:Conduct high standard internal audits against the: FSSC22000 standard, IP Handling and Environmental audits. Report writing and effective corrective action. Feedback to managementExternal audits by customers and certification bodies are successful to achieve certification and supplier approval.Management of the Lab, ensure 100% efficiency of lab equipment, monitoring of quality, record keeping, statistics etcDaily reporting on product conformance.Sample Analysis at External and Internal labs and the interpretation of resultsLiaise with customers on Complaints, do root cause analysis, identify Corrective and Preventive actions, follow up on effectiveness and draw up graphsTraining on FSSC22000 and Environmental ManagementCommunication: Meetings and info sessionsDocument and Record ControlCompile Business Review paper and other reports for evaluation by senior managementThe successful candidate must be willing to relocate within 50kms of the Plant.
