Food Safety Manager

We are looking for an experienced Food Safety Manager to oversee all plant operations and ensure that our products meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and RPC standards.
The role involves managing the HACCP plan, OPRPs, and CCPs, while ensuring the highest food safety standards are maintained throughout the production process.Qualifications & Experience:Education: Degree/BTech in Food Science and Technology, or BSc in Microbiology.Experience: 3-5 years in a food safety or quality assurance role, with at least 3 years in risk management and auditing, and 5 years in a management position.Certification in HACCP, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, or other relevant food safety standards.Key Responsibilities:Food Safety Management:Lead and maintain the site's Food Safety Management System (FSMS) to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.KPI Reporting:Provide regular updates on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and compliance status to the GM QA.Corrective Actions:Oversee root cause analysis for non-conformances and implement corrective and preventive actions, addressing issues raised by customers, audits, or authorities.Policy Development:Update and refine company policies and procedures to meet customer expectations, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.Monitoring of OPRPs and CCPs:Ensure effective monitoring of Operational Prerequisite Programs (OPRPs), Critical Control Points (CCPs), and cleaning schedules.
Address any deviations immediately.Training & Development:Develop and conduct food safety training programs for staff, ensuring all employees are up-to-date on safety protocols and best practices.Complaint Investigations:Lead investigations into food safety complaints, ensuring thorough resolution and preventive measures.Product Testing:Oversee product and environmental testing, ensuring compliance with established testing protocols.Audits:Plan and facilitate internal, customer, and certification audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.Compliance & Reporting:Maintain accurate food safety documentation and submit required reports for regulatory and internal purposes.Supplier Management:Assess and manage supplier compliance with food safety standards, approving necessary documents and certifications.Continuous Improvement:Analyze food safety metrics to drive continuous improvement and stay aligned with evolving industry trends and regulations.Crisis Management:Lead the response to any food safety incidents or product recalls, ensuring swift action to protect consumers and uphold the company's reputation.How to Apply:We appreciate all applications; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
