The Cove FOH & Events ManagerPosition Title: FOH & Events ManagerDepartment: The Cove Restaurant & Ocean Breeze Hotel (Conference & Events)Reports To: General Manager / Executive TeamCollaborates With: Kitchen Manager (BOH), Hotel Operations, Marketing & Creative Partners, Front of House TeamsPosition SummaryThe FOH & Events Manager is responsible for ensuring excellent front-of-house service while planning, organizing, and executing all conferences and events at The Cove and the Ocean Breeze Hotel's Conference Center.
This role is pivotal in bridging communication between the BOH and FOH teams.
The successful candidate will also collaborate with Craft Collective (the OBH creative and marketing partner) to develop engaging in-house events, marketing activations, and special guest experiences.Key ObjectivesDeliver an outstanding guest experience through well-trained, motivated FOH staff.Coordinate, plan, and execute group events, private functions, and conferences.Serve as a strategic point of contact between BOH and FOH to ensure seamless operations.Enhance The Cove's brand by orchestrating creative events and personalized services.Drive revenue and uphold quality standards through exemplary leadership and attention to detail.Required Qualifications & ExperienceDiploma or Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, or related field (preferred).Minimum 2–3 years' experience in front-of-house supervision, event coordination, or hospitality management.Proven ability to manage, coach, and train a diverse FOH team (servers, bartenders, hosts).Demonstrated success in planning and executing events, conferences, or banquets.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.A high degree of creativity, adaptability, and attention to detail.Desired Soft SkillsEnergetic, enthusiastic, and proactive.Collaboration-oriented, with a passion for teamwork and partnership.Marketing-minded, eager to brainstorm and execute in-house activations.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive base salary with performance-based incentives - R12 000 basic + negotiated 2-5% events & conferencing commission after a successful probationary periodOpportunities for professional growth within a rapidly expanding organization.Access to ongoing training and development programsPlease forward your CV with contactable references to ****** Type: Full-timePay: From R12000,00 per month
