POSITION: FMS Project Technician Suitable and interested applicants are invited to apply for the above position.
The successful candidate will be based at Johannesburg office and will be required to travel to other provinces and abroad as required.

RESPONSIBILITY The incumbent is mainly responsible for the installation and commissioning of the Company fuel management system on various projects.

MAIN JOB FUNCTIONS (KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS)
The core responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Performing within a project team structure under strict timelinesInstall and commissioning of Company products.Perform effective fault finding and troubleshooting.Effective communication with the Project Manager and customersPerform administrative tasks such as keeping records of all new installed equipment, maintaining vehicle logbooks, maintaining technician onsite reports (TOS) up to date, ensuring that job cards are completed timeously, correctly and handed in for invoicing.Ensure that the equipment is maintained and repaired/installed in accordance with the OEM requirements and specifications.Compile a schedule for preventative maintenance on the fixed fuel management system, which will be distributed to all relevant Customer parties.Assist with mini projects run in maintenance.Supporting the business through the upselling of additional equipment and services provided by the Company.Comply with all the Customers rules and regulations and policies such health, safety, quality and environment and will adhere to all safe working procedures.Occasionally working overtime (weekends, public holidays of afterhours)NOTE: The above points do not constitute the incumbents sole job function; the incumbent should use these points as a guideline.

FORMAL TRAINING REQUIRED MatricTechnical qualification required.
Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Light current) or Mechanical Engineering will be an advantage.Electro-mechanical or instrumentation experience required.
