: TRG 2243Salary: Market related TCTC avail/negStart Date: As soon as possible A leading FMCG Retailer is seeking a FMCG industry experienced FINANCIAL MANAGER to join their dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial and administration duties of a local Newcastle operation, ensuring effective financial planning, control, and reporting across the operation.
This role is critical to ensuring the long-term profitability and financial health of the organization.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Assisting in preparing management accounts up-to Trial BalanceAssist with balance sheet preparationInvoicingCreditorsDebtorsPayment clerk dutiesBasic financial accounting responsibilitiesReports to General Manager, Group Accountant and Head Office financial teamsSupervision of a small finance and administration teamIn-depth knowledge of retail financial principles, inventory management, and cost controls.Ensure effective cash flow management across the store, maintaining liquidity and financial stability.Manage the company''s credit and collections policies, ensuring timely payments from suppliers and customers.Monitor stock levels and work closely with the procurement team to optimize inventory turnover and minimize financial waste due to overstocking or understocking.Oversee the payroll processing for all stores, ensuring accuracy and compliance with labour laws.EDUCATION, QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS: Min 5 years retail (FMCG) industry experience as a Financial Manager required.Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting or similar tertiary qualification will be requiredHR experience (adv)Retail accounting system package experience: Sage Pastel / SAP / Sigma / EASY AccountsAdvanced MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Outlook)Local Newcastle residency requiredA positive attitude with an ambitious personality.Exceptional financial analysis and reporting skills.Strong leadership and team management capabilities.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
