Experience in shipping, forex, and pharma buying. Candidates with FMCG industry experience will also be considered.Requirements:Grade 12Purchasing / Buyer Diploma or higher3 years of experience as a buyer in an FMCG or pharmaceutical companyExperience / Knowledge of Forex and shipping (required)Computer Literate: MS Word, Excel, PowerPointOracle will be an advantage.Duties:Responsible for material / finished goodsSourcing material / finished goods at competitive pricingReview material requirement reports weekly and replenish orders as requiredEnsure orders are placed on time, considering long lead timesEnsure safety stock levels are achieved, especially on critical productsEnsure compliance with company policy by obtaining order confirmations/invoices on timeExpedite and follow up deliveries dailyGenerate weekly reports to monitor low stocks/backorders, showing actions to rectify stock levelsManage orders placed to prevent out of stock and overstocks by deferring or cancelling ordersWork with planners to reschedule as necessarySource vendors and review vendor performanceClosing Date: 30 August 2024
