Education (Formal Qualification Required) Minimum Technical trade qualification (N3 or N4) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering Ideal Diploma/N6 in Engineering Legal Requirements Requirements / Certifications (e.g., TRADE CERTIFICATE) Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in food manufacturing environment as an Operator Must have experience working on high throughput filling machines such as (Liquid filling machines, Ace pack, Labellers) Must understand lean principles such as 5S, Autonomous maintenance and 5 whys trouble shooting. Exposure to World Class Manufacturing techniques with good GMP practices of 90%, ISO 9001, BRCGS and Safety Standards 2 years FMCG/Manufacturing experience Engineering certificate Key Performance Areas Safety and Quality Following all safety rules and policies. Wearing safety equipment and PPE. Reporting all dangerous or unsafe behaviour to the manager. Ensure all aspects for products to be produced in assigned work area meet critical quality factors, customer needs and acceptable standards as per shared production plan and shopware reports. Ensure PCD/ Summary reports are populated accurately and on-time on shopware. 100% compliance to safety rules. Responsible production to attain 5S principles in work area. Adhere to zero harm and zero alcohol tolerance safety principles. Responsibility Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of machinery. Perform periodic checks on the line and solve problems as detected. Work with line team by leading them to ensure that the equipment is in proper working order to achieve set target. Responsible to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and equipment effectiveness goals as per set KPIs. Ensure equipment is in order by conducting a start-up check on machinery before operation every shift and report any defects of the machine. Hourly Checks. Responsible for executing changeovers, organizing, and storing all changeover tools/equipment to allow effective changeovers. Capture production progress on shopware system accurately at start and end of the job. Record every stoppage on shopware and 30 minutes 1-hour checks. Participate in all required inventory control activities, namely, cycle counts, and stock takes. Be prepared to work overtime when required.
